This exciting coffee, processed according to the red honey protocol, comes to us from the Ethiopian town of Bombe. The processing gives it an intensely fruity and sweet taste, which is reminiscent of pet nat due to its intensity, but also has the classic taste characteristics of Ethiopian coffees. In recent years, Ethiopian coffee production has become increasingly open to processing methods outside the usual natural and washed protocols. This coffee is an example of the exciting coffees that are emerging!


The DWD Washing Station in the Ethiopian village of Bombe belongs to Ato Dukale. Once a successful and regionally renowned volleyball player, Ako has built up a coffee processing company since the 1980s, which now has 16 processing stations in the Bensa, Guji and Gedeo regions.
