  • This coffee brings the aromas of Rwanda to the point. The honey-processing gives it a pleasant sweetness and a soft texture, which develops differently depending on the preparation method and roasting. As a filter coffee, it shows notes of mandarin and blossom honey, a balanced combination of fruity freshness and gentle sweetness. As an espresso, it develops aromas of mirabelle plum and lemon balm, with lively acidity and a round mouthfeel. A coffee that impresses with its clarity and balance - fruity, sweet and with a fine floral note.

  • The Kilimbi Washing Station in the Nyamasheke District was the first station of our partner Muraho Trading Company in 2016 and one of the first in Rwanda to be officially allowed to produce natural and honey processed coffees. It is located directly on Lake Kivu, where some of the cherries are even delivered by boat. Joris and Kilian were able to visit the station in person last year and get to know the people behind the coffee. Kilimbi works with 750 local families and processes coffee at an altitude of 1,650 to 1,850 meters. Volcanic soils, high altitudes and the mild climate ensure coffees with a special sweetness and clear acidity. Kilimbi is an important part of the Rwandan specialty coffee scene and stands for quality, innovation and close cooperation with the farmers.
