A coffee full of energy and expression: This natural from Ethiopia's Bombe Village has everything we love about fruity coffees from Sidama.
As a filter coffee, it's reminiscent of mandarin orange, strawberry, and elderberry—vivid, clear, and sweet. As an espresso, it's more dense, with aromas of blackberry and forest honey that lend it a ripe depth.
A coffee for those who want to not only taste Ethiopia, but experience it – fresh, fruity, complex.
The coffee comes from Faysel Abdosh's farm in Bombe Village, located in Bensa, Sidama—one of Ethiopia's most renowned regions for high-quality natural coffees. The farm is located at an altitude of 1990–2150 meters, surrounded by heritage varieties such as 74110, 74118, and 74158, originally selected by the Ethiopian Research Authority.
The beans are processed naturally – i.e. sun-dried in the fruit – which gives the coffee its fruity depth and distinctive sweetness.
Faysel Abdosh stands for quality, innovation, and close collaboration with local producers. This coffee is part of a development that demonstrates the dynamism and diversity of Ethiopian coffee production.
The coffee is imported by Plotcoffee.
All our coffees are traceable back to the farm. We work exclusively with importers who share our values. Only ecologically, economically and socially sustainable coffee enters our roaster.
We always buy our coffee seasonally. Our range changes several times a month to always roast the freshest beans. We want each coffee to highlight the specificity of its terroir.
Roasting is a craft and that's how we practice it. Our roasting team around the German Roastmaster of 2018, Kilian Seger, invests a lot of time in profile development and quality control.
