Spring, football field, friends, big names in mind. Many of us know these images from childhood: standing on the grass or in the park, chasing the ball, and for a moment imagining being someone else. Zidane, Ronaldo, Oliver Kahn. Or Valderrama, Higuita, Elkin Soto. These memories carry a feeling that remains because back then everything seemed possible. This coffee was born precisely from this nostalgia. It is not just a new release, but a project that is particularly close to our hearts. We didn't just want to show the beauty of an extraordinary coffee, but also the feeling of life we associate with it. That's why the artwork also takes up the imagery of the 90s and refers to the legendary Colombian World Cup jersey from 1990, which for us, like hardly any other design, combines design, attitude, and origin. The coffee itself is a honey processed Wush Wush and for us one of the most impressive coffees we have sourced to date. It combines complexity, sweetness, and clarity in a rare, almost effortless way and brings exactly the precision and elegance that we look for in exceptional coffees. At the same time, it also tells of our friendship with Ambera Coffee, a small and outstanding producer from Colombia. However, this coffee does not stand alone. It also carries the memory of many other special lots: of great Pink Bourbons, of fine Tabis from San Gabriel, of Competition Coffees, and of coffees from various regions of the country. In this sense, it is our personal love letter to Colombia as a coffee origin - and perhaps the most beautiful expression of what we have loved about it for years.
This coffee comes from James Nunes, from Palestina in Huila, Colombia, at an altitude of around 2,000 meters. The lot was exported via Ambera Coffee, whose work is characterized by close collaboration with producers, a strong understanding of quality, and a deep connection to origin. We imported the coffee together with Aegis Coffee from Slovakia. Thus, this coffee not only tells of its origin but also of a supply chain based on trust, care, and established relationships. It shows that exceptional coffees are not created in isolation, but where experience, proximity, and a shared standard come together along the entire chain.
Our coffees are traceable back to the farm. We work with importers who share our values and focus on responsible cultivation and fair partnerships – with regard to environmental, social, and economic aspects.
We always buy our coffee seasonally. Our range changes several times a month to always roast the freshest beans. We want each coffee to highlight the specificity of its terroir.
Roasting is a craft and that's how we practice it. Our roasting team around the German Roastmaster of 2018, Kilian Seger, invests a lot of time in profile development and quality control.
