Status of compliance with the requirements

This website largely complies with WCAG 2.1 requirements at conformance level AA . The assessment is based on an automated Lighthouse test (all tested page areas > 90 points) and additional manual checks.

Measures implemented to improve accessibility

• Improved link display: Text links are underlined, and hover and focus states are clearly highlighted. Footer links are designed with high contrast on a dark background.
• Contrast & Readability: Newsletter background darkened, price and discount colors on product and category pages adapted to WCAG contrast requirements.
• Touch and click areas: All interactive elements (navigation, CTAs, collection styles) meet a minimum size of 48×48 px; collection styles (images, text, buttons) have been combined into a single clickable area.
• HTML semantics & structure: `` and `
  ` added, heading hierarchy structured logically ascending (h2 → h3 → h4).
• Unique link texts & alt texts: Repeated link texts were changed to reflect the context (e.g. “For coffee at Las Flores”), all images were given alt attributes or provided with fallbacks.
• ARIA optimization: Invalid or misplaced ARIA attributes removed or corrected (e.g. in product slider and pickup info), buttons provided with meaningful `aria-label`s.
• Removal of inactive links: Gallery and content components have been adjusted so that there are no longer any empty or inactive ` ` tags.
• Keyboard navigation:
  • Homepage slider: Auto-play disabled, only active slides get tab stops, arrow keys (←/→) change slides, Enter/Space opens focus in the new slide.
  • Product Tiles (Featured Collection & Recommendations): Each tile is now a single tab stop, internal links/galleries are removed from the tab flow, Enter/Space redirects to the product detail page, quick shop and swatches remain accessible via mouse and tab.
  • Subscription widget (bold subscription options): Radio groups for single purchase vs. subscription and delivery frequency are fully accessible via Tab and Enter/Space, arrow keys are disabled.
  • FAQ-Accordion: Accordion buttons have `tabindex="0"`, Enter/Space expands/collapses the panels, ARIA attributes `aria-expanded`/`aria-hidden` are updated dynamically.
• Visible focus indicators: For all interactive elements (buttons, links, accordion headings, tabs), clear outline styles (`outline: 3px solid #0057E7; outline-offset: 2px;`) have been added in CSS to make the keyboard focus position clearly recognizable.
