Creating a blend is always an exciting challenge for us. We want to show the strengths of the respective origins and at the same time create a coffee blend that combines the special characteristics of the coffees. Blends often have the advantage of being easier to handle than single-origin coffees, as one coffee can compensate for what the other may lack. With the Natural Blend, we want to emphasise the strengths of naturally processed coffees in espresso. Due to the drying process, naturals are often quite sweet, and when prepared under pressure and in combination with milk or milk alternatives, this sweetness comes out very well. We hope you have fun with our coffee when trying it out in a fully automatic coffee machine, a portafilter or a stovetop jug.
Our Natural Blend combines two of the most iconic origins of specialty coffee: Ethiopia and Brazil. The Ethiopian portion of this coffee comes from the renowned Tega Tula Farm in Ethiopia. Since 2000, Tega & Tula Farm Agro has been growing, processing and exporting some of the best coffee in Ethiopia. They strive to produce high quality coffee on an environmentally sustainable, economically viable and community friendly farm. Despite being one of the youngest coffee farms in Ethiopia, they use the most advanced farming and harvesting techniques to plant, produce and deliver excellent coffee. The farm is located in the heart of Kaffa (Kaffa Zone Gembo Woreda), in the centre of the natural forest area where Arabica coffee originates. The Brazilian counterpart to our Natural Blend comes from the Dutra farm, from which we also already had a filter coffee in our range. The farm is located in São João do Manhuaçu in Minas Gerais. Ednilson and Walter Dutra, two brothers have divided the tasks, Ednilson is responsible for the economic aspects, Walter for production and PR. Their father started with one hectare of coffee cultivation, which has since grown to 500 hectares.

All our coffees are traceable back to the farm. We work exclusively with importers who share our values. Only ecologically, economically and socially sustainable coffee enters our roaster.
We always buy our coffee seasonally. Our range changes several times a month to always roast the freshest beans. We want each coffee to highlight the specificity of its terroir.
Roasting is a craft and that's how we practice it. Our roasting team around the German Roastmaster of 2018, Kilian Seger, invests a lot of time in profile development and quality control.
